About Michelle Cassar

“A polymath is a person whose expertise spans a significant number of different subject areas.”

(Gavin Strange author of Do/FLY)

Michelle Cassar Enviro-Mentor for eco anxiety and climate crisis using tapping

Michelle is a Polymath – photographer, author, speaker and filmmaker. She was one of the founding members of City to Sea and is in her second decade of Being-PALL (Plastic A Lot Less). She’s a surfer (not quite a professional), and these days she’s an Enviro-mentor.

That means she draws on her years as an environmental campaigner to help others take good care of themselves while starting or turbocharging their campaigning skills, using the powerful tools of ‘tapping’.

She’s been working to prevent plastic pollution at source on a local and national level since long before most people knew it was an issue. Her images have appeared in prestigious publications around the world, bringing award-winning campaigns to a wide audience, and her videos have racked up over nine million views.

She’s now in her second decade of #BeingPALL (Plastic A Lot Less) and #SecondHandChic.

Dynamic, enthusiastic and versatile. Michelle’s mission is to help you
get the best from your superpowers!

That’s the official line anyway…

To be honest, I’ve never really understood third-person bios. They belong on little white plaques in art exhibitions and they use words like ‘capture’ and ‘evoke’ a lot.

But it’s odd to sit here describing another person to you. If we work together we’ll be working directly, so let’s talk. I’m here to understand what matters to you, to mentor you as an individual and focus on what you need to do, to get where you need to be.

Spoiler – nobody’s perfect. Not me, not you.

Campaigning for a better world takes its toll – it doesn’t always go to plan and you won’t get everything right. Take me for example, cooking from scratch every day and making potions isn't me, nor is documenting my progress on social media. Reducing 100% of all plastic that ever crosses my threshold isn’t me either, because that’s simply not possible… that’s why I’m #PALLnotPerfect.

The thing is, you don’t have to be perfect to be effective, but you do need to be your best self. That means being focussed, dedicated and realistic – inspired enough to make a difference, but resilient enough to be kind to your mistakes, and still celebrate your victories.

Campaigning is serious, but it can be fun too.

Campaigning work you may know me for.
